The Adventures of Flat Stanley in Sun Valley, ID

Jake's cousin, Mason, sent him a Flat Stanley. So, learning from Courtney's example on the perfect Flat Stanley experience, we set to work getting pics of all the fun things we do so we can make our own Flat Stanley book to send to Mason. Thanks Mason! We had a lot of fun with him!(You can click on this picture to see it bigger. Adventures included snowboarding, tubing, building a snowman, playing in our snow cave, roasting marshmallows on the deck in the snow, sight seeing and lots and lots of snow!)

Snow Shoeing

Jake went out to play in the snow and ended up stuck! He sunk down quite far. The snow was about 4 feet deep. He strapped on his snow shoes and had a blast "floating" on the snow.

This last pic gives you a good idea of how deep the snow was (I say was, because it is deeper now! That fence is gone!) That fence in front of Jake is up to Jake's chin, normally. Now he is above it! WAY TOO MUCH FUN!

Jake's Feelings About Our Prophet

"President Gordon B. Hinckley is my most favorite Prophet of all. I loved having him as a Prophet. I was very sad when he died, but now that I know Thomas S. Monson is our Prophet, I hope I will get to like him like I did with President Gordon B. Hinckley. I hope I will get to know Thomas S. Monson a little better soon."
