Jake The Great: May 2007

Birthday Party #1

WOW!! What fun! In Utah we HAD to have a bday party for Jake so he could have all of his Utah friends and cousins over to play. Then we had to have one in Idaho for his Idaho friends. We had so much fun in Utah. We went to Nana and Papa's (Ryan's mom and dad) house and played like crazy! There were games and water fights and a whole lot of laughing!

Kaitlyn and Jake, silly as usual!

Tyler, Jake and Mason! Although Mason stands a head taller than both Tyler and Jake, all these boys, and Clayton Salisbury were born right about the same time. Jake is so lucky to have such fun boy cousins all just about his age! They all have so much fun together!

Grandma's Backyard!

There was so much to do at Grandma's! Sliding down the slides into the sandbox, jumping on the trampoline, wondering through the pathways, teeter tottering, swinging, climbing the big rock, climbing on the dinosaur or just running all over the place! What more could a kid ask for in a backyard? Thanks for letting us have Jake's party at your house Lynne!

Oh Lisa! I know you love me!

Lisa and I had a fun time on the teeter totter! We laughed pretty darn hard. My favorite part.....trying to bump her off and freaking her out! HAHAHAHAHA!

Isn't she just so pretty?! I have the cutest funnest little sister! She rode her bike with her 2 year old on the bike with her and her other 2 kids in the trailer behind her. From her house, she pulled them up hill for about 8 miles or so, maybe more! She is funny and pretty tough! Later, when she got back home her bike started to fall over with Caroline on back so she put her leg out to stop it and ended up with a sprocket in her ankle, an arterial bleed, stitches, and later staph infection and cellulitis! Seriously Lisa!

I am starting to freak her out just a little bit. I have almost bucked her off a couple of times. I am laughing so hard!!

OH YEAH!! That is a good face Lees! Look at those white knuckles on the handle! HA!! I wish I could have caught the look just before this one! I COMPLETELY freaked her out! By this time I am laughing so hard I can't breathe!!

Good thing she is the funnest sister ever! Love you Lees!

Orange Races!

Yeah, we did it. We taught all of the kids to pass oranges using only their necks and relay race all over the yard! We had a lot of good laughs! The kids were so funny!

NERF HEAVEN!!

Jake got a lot of Nerf guns and water guns. He had so much fun at his party! Thanks to everyone that came!

Birthday Party #2

Jake couldn't wait to have his Idaho birthday party! He has a lot of really good friends here. We had a lot of fun! I mean how can you go wrong with Duck, Duck Goose, Red Rover and Red Light Green Light?! Too Much Fun!

Do you know how to get 10 kids to be really quiet? Feed them Spice cake with Cream Cheese frosting! They LOVED it!!

PRESENTS!!!

WOW! Amanda, Bridger and Livi's mom, has been busy! Look at those cute "relax pants"! (That is what Jake calls them, because if we call them Pajama pants he gets mad and tells us he is not ready for bed.

A grow in the tub turtle and an IOU for "Night at the Museum" movie from Kallie and Syd! Jake got the movie just a couple of days later and well, he has it memorized!

Sam & Maci gave Jake a build-a-bug little thing, with an actual bug maze in it, to do experiments with real bugs! How exciting!

A NEW BIKE!!

Jake LOVES to ride bikes! He is on his almost constantly. Lately we have been noticing how ridiculously small that bike is in comparison to him. His knees hit the handle bars when he pedaled. Poor kid! So we decided to get him a new bike. He was so excited!
