Jake got a set of Tinkertoys from Santa this year. He LOVES to build things, so this really is the perfect thing for him. By the way Grandma Horch, Jake also got little legos, we need to get him a tackle box for them, but thanks for that idea!

After sledding, Jake had an idea that he wanted to build before bed.

With a little help from Dad (and his lovely Beanie hair!) to get the poles to stay in the holes, Jake was so excited to show us what he was imagining.

Wow, good job buddy....wait you have another idea?!

It's a lawn Mower. What a funny boy! He was so proud that he built this with his imagination! He is a cute boy! We love him so much! Posted by Picasa

YAY!! A MUCH ANTICIPATED VISIT FROM THE TOOTHFAIRY!!

Jake has wiggled and wiggled this tooth for the last couple of days, and finally! I told him to try twisting it and it popped sideways. He was all worried and said, "mommy, how am I going to get this back to normal". Well, with an extra little twist came right out. The first thing he wanted to say was, "sister susie sitting on a thistle" (he learned the 2 front teeth song at school) and he laughed at how it felt and sounded. Wait until he loses the other one!

The first thing he wanted to try was putting his juice box straw where his tooth used to be and drinking through it. He said he saw that one on Arthur. What a funny kid!& Posted by Picasa

SNOW SHOEING!!

Santa brought Jake some really nice snow shoes. Well, he needs them! These pictures just don't do justice to how much snow we actually have, and it has snowed a bunch more since I took these!

Jake loves that he stays on top of the snow with these on! If he didn't have them on he would sink to above his knee or more!

Jake is showing you how deep the snow is between our houses. It gets pretty deep here. Our friends plow a trail from our house to theirs and right through the middle of our houses, otherwise we wouldn't be able to get between the houses during the winter! Posted by Picasa

Jake and the Electronic Project Kit

Ryan teaches night school at CSI for the HVAC Apprenticship program. He bought this little Electronic Project Kit to teach the guys in his class about how electricity works. When he was done he brought it home and thought Jake might really like it.

JAKE LOVES IT! Ryan sat down with him and showed him the book of instructions. He told showed him how to connect certain circuits to make different things happen. Jake immediately took to it! He will sit for hours and build different projects. It is quite amazing to watch him work at it. He will connect like 50 different circuits, all of which have to be in just the right connection or they will not work right. When he hits the power it is always fun to see what he has done.

This project is the hardest one in the book. When Jake is done building it he will push a little button on a speaker and make a song play from that board through our radio.

Dad leans in for a little extra assistance....

Coming Through On the Radio....This Kid is a Genius!

Dad helping Jake with the radio.

YAY!! GOOD JOB BUDDY! Jake successfully hooked up all of the electric parts, pushed a button and the music came through on our radio. He has also reconnected them and used the speaker as a microphone and had his own voice come through on the radio! Smart Kid! Posted by Picasa

Jake's damage! By the end of the day he had 5 strikes and 3 spares! Good job little man!

A couple more pictures of Jake and his buddies. Tyler said he was listening to his "coordinates" in the ear phones! What ever that is! He is such a funny kid! Posted by Picasa
