Jake's first time snowboarding
This is Jake getting on the "Magic Carpet" to ride to the top of the hill. He has wanted to learn to snowboard for a long time. So Ryan took him up to Sun Valley to teach him. He did pretty darn good. He wasn't too fond of catching his edge and wiping out, but he had a good time.

Doesn't he look good in his boarding gear?!

At the Concert
Jake loved getting to see Kayla and Tyrel perform in their concert! The boys LOVED the drums and horns, and especially loved when Ty and Kayla stood right by them and sang for the final song.
By the way, Clayton (Clint's son) is closest to the camera, then Jake, then Uncle Parker (my little brother).

Playing with Uncle Jared
GUITAR HERO OBSESSION!
These boys were hilarious with this game! I don't think they thought about much else the whole weekend! They got up early to play before anyone else got up and got a few songs in every chance they got!

Jake didn't have much experience with the game, but Tyler had it down! They were funny! Tyler kept getting mad at Jake because he was missing notes and they were getting booed off the stage. It didn't take too long before Jake was catching up and presented some serious competition, he even won a few! By the way, sweet mohawk Tyler! :)

I wish you could have seen them in action. Jake was dancing while playing, it was really funny! Tyler, however, had to be reminded to blink every once in a while. He actually got blood shot eyes from playing and not blinking enough! :) We love Tyler so much! He slept over all the nights and him and Jake got to have so much fun together!

Snowboard Dreamin!
I gave Ryan a snow board for his birthday and an early Christmas. Jake really wants one of his own so he can go too. He loved trying the boots on and feeling the whole thing out. He will have to put it on his list for Santa! He is really excited because Logan, Ryan's brother, was an instructor at Beaver Mountain and he is going to teach Jake. Next year, in 3rd grade, the kids start going skiing during school. So, it will be great to get some experience under his belt this year!

A WORTHY OPPONENT!
Mallory is delighted to get the chance to play light sabers with Jake! She is feeling a little cocky about it though. She tries to take him down with one hand on the Saber and one clutching her bag of Trix tightly!
BUDDIES!
Jake, Carson and Drew playing Star Wars, while watching Star Wars! This is a favorite after school activity! These guys are such good buddies! I love listening to them play together and discuss, using more "dude"s than you would find on a beach in California, how many seconds it would take for a Bantha to kill someone, and how it would best be done. I think they finally decided it could swallow someone whole in less than one second. Funny boys!

Boys will be boys! Nice wrestling move Carson! I just don't think you can possibly get Drew's attention from the movie!
One day Jake came home from school and told me that Carson was the coolest kid ever because when they were playing US army Carson pretended he had a missile launcher and no one had even thought of that! He also said that he thinks Carson is funny because he has a cute little face!

"I'm A Goofy Goober, Yeah!"
This gives new meaning to Rally Hat!

Jake has a few friends that love to skateboard, and they love to go to the cool little skate park here in town. So he thought he better get working on his skills!

Well, he has got the face down! Click on it to make it bigger, quite funny! (and yes, that is Dawson chilling in the summer sun on the grass! What a cutie! He loves it outside!)

BOW & ARROWS (or as Jake would say it Bone Arrows)
We love getting together with all of the Lindstroms. We love to play games around the table or outside.
Jared is getting ready to go hunting and has been practicing with his Bow. So he taught the boys how to shoot too. PaPa helped by giving the boys a target! (Not him, the squid)

The Boys line up for the shot
JoJo, Clint and Brig sit by to watch the carnage.
WOW! Good shots! That squid is all but dead!
