Chess Anyone??

First let me just state that somehow at some point in his life Jake became unable to sleep in jammies. He only sleeps in his underwear. He likes to put on jammies before bed (not this time) then he always takes them off and sleeps in his undies. Thus, when I left to the store Jake was ready for bed, but in anticipation of my arrival with his chess game, he insisted on staying up and playing for just a minute with dad. He won! Dad's a push-over :)

Now, Jake has 2 cousins that are his age that thoroughly enjoy a good game of chess. This last weekend on our suprise visit Jake got a little bit of a lesson from Mason, while playing Tyler. He then decided that he HAD to learn all the rules and have his own set. He actually gets it. He can tell you all the pieces names and how they can move. That is about 100% more than I could tell you!

So now, enjoy some totally non staged shots of Ryan, whom I believe is the best teacher in the world, teaching Jake the basics of Chess and getting beat by a 6 year old!
